Made in Grasse

Thirty years of supplying pharmacies

Our laboratory sits in Grasse, the town that has made the raw materials of French perfumery for four centuries. It does not work for perfume houses. It works for pharmacies, which means every batch leaves with a certificate of analysis rather than a story.

That is why the formulas are short. Nothing goes in to make a label look richer, and what would be dosed too low to work is left out before it ever reaches a bottle.

How we formulate

In their words

Filmed on their own counters

  • Ana, Lisbon

    Nº 2 Lumière

Six weeks in. The patches on my cheeks are the quietest they have been in years.
  • Juno, Copenhagen

    Nº 1 Clarté

I stopped needing a second cleanse. That alone gave me ten minutes back.
  • Mira, Berlin

    Nº 3 Velours

First moisturiser that sits under make-up without pilling by noon.
  • Salomé, Paris

    Nº 4 Nuit

Started twice a week as told. No peeling, which has never happened to me with retinal.

The idea

Most women own fourteen products and use four. So we built the four, and nothing else.

Loucet is not a collection that grows every season. It is a closed routine: formulated against each other, numbered in the order you use them, made for skin that does not need repairing, only keeping.

The ritual

Three steps, twice a day

IMorning & night

Clear

One balm, twice a day. It lifts make-up and sunscreen in a single pass. Skin should feel soft afterwards, never tight.

IIMorning

Nourish

Active first, barrier second. Niacinamide evens the tone, ceramides hold the result through the day.

IIINight

Protect

Retinal works overnight. Start twice a week and give your skin a fortnight before you go nightly.

  • Nº 4NuitNight Serum

The formula

Four rules, no exceptions

We formulate with a laboratory in Grasse that has supplied pharmacies for thirty years. What does not pass there never reaches the bottle.

01
Short formulas
Twelve to twenty ingredients per product. Every single one has to justify why it is on the list.
02
Actives at strength
We print percentages on the front. Anything dosed too low to work is left out entirely.
03
No fragrance
No perfume, no essential oils. What you smell is the raw material itself.
04
Every batch tested
Each batch leaves the laboratory with a certificate of analysis, and its number is printed on the bottle.

Questions

Answered properly

What is in the Loucet routine?

Loucet is four products, numbered in the order they are applied: Nº 1 Clarté cleansing balm (€38), Nº 2 Lumière active serum with 10% niacinamide and 3% vitamin C (€58), Nº 3 Velours ceramide moisturiser (€54) and Nº 4 Nuit night serum with 0.1% retinal (€92). The full set is €198.

Is Loucet fragrance free?

Yes. No Loucet product contains perfume or essential oils, including the ones marketed elsewhere as natural fragrance. What you smell is the raw material itself. This makes the range suitable for reactive and fragrance-sensitive skin.

How much niacinamide is in Lumière?

Nº 2 Lumière contains 10% niacinamide, 3% 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid as a stable vitamin C, and 1% zinc PCA. Percentages are printed on the front of the bottle rather than hidden in the ingredient list.

How do I start using retinal without peeling?

Use Nº 4 Nuit twice a week for the first fortnight, on dry skin at night, and follow it immediately with Nº 3 Velours. Build up to nightly only once there is no tightness the next morning. Retinal at 0.1% works faster than retinol because skin has one conversion step to make instead of two. Do not use it during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and wear sunscreen daily while using it.

What does the full Loucet set cost?

The four products together are €198, against €242 bought separately. The set arrives numbered in the order you apply them, which is the simplest way to start the routine.

Where is Loucet made?

Loucet is formulated in Paris and manufactured by a laboratory in Grasse, France, that has supplied pharmacies for thirty years. Every batch leaves with a certificate of analysis.

Is Loucet suitable for sensitive skin?

Mostly yes. The range has no fragrance, no essential oils and no colourants, and formulas run to twelve to twenty ingredients. Two caveats: 10% niacinamide can flush very reactive skin in the first week, so start Lumière every other morning, and the retinal in Nuit needs a two-week run-in.
